Join us for Inventive Learning Week in Chicago

We weren’t sure what to expect when we released our City X Project toolkit into the wild at the beginning of April. Since then, we’ve been overwhelmed by the response. To date, nearly 650 educators in more than 50 countries around the world have accessed it, and we’ve been able to establish partnerships with organizations in Singapore, Denmark, and across the US to get the program in the hands of more kids. It’s crazy exciting.

But we want many, many more kids to have access to it.

That’s why we’re hosting Inventive Learning Week in Chicago from September 15-19, 2014. Let’s be honest, it’s pretty expensive to jet our team around the world training small groups of awesome people. So why not bring the awesome people to us? To make becoming a City X Project certified facilitator more cost effective, we’re inviting educators, companies, and potential partners to join us in Chicago for a week of playful learning. The week includes a comprehensive certification training on the City X Project workshop, a full run-through of the experience with a group of Chicago kids, and the chance to learn more about our work while also connecting with educational innovators from around the city.

Too much work makes for a boring life, though, so we’re also planning some fun cultural things for the tourist in all of us. We’ll take a ride to the top of Willis Tower, an architectural cruise on the Chicago River, and have a farewell dinner on the 95th floor of the Hancock Center. And that all goes on our credit card.

Every participant who completes the week-long experience will get a City X Project certification, meaning they’re officially certified to run City X Project workshops. For those interested in using our workshop in a commercial setting, you’ll be able to get hooked up with a license on the spot and start teaching kids to change the world right out of the gate. If your entire organization comes to join us for the event, we can even get you set up as a Regional Partner wherever it is in the world you’re visiting us from.

Come play with us in Chicago! If you have any questions, drop me a line at brett@ideaco.org, and I’ll personally get back to you.
